Hudson Garden Studio is an ecologically-minded landscape gardening firm and specialty nursery. We design and install beautiful, transformative, ecologically robust gardens. We believe the garden is a place for the hum of family activity, for contemplation, and a jumping off point for connection into the larger landscapes all around us. We are committed to sustainable design for the stewardship of our shared environment.
Located in the Hudson Highlands, we work throughout the Hudson Valley, the Five Boroughs and Eastern Long Island.

Hudson Garden Studio teams with a dedicated group of independent designers and gardeners:
Anne Sherer, Gardener
After a decade spent building and designing sets and prps for theater she spent a season on a flower farm, got a certificate in gardening from NYBG and fell in love with plants. She’s thankful for the opportunities gardening provides to support resilient landscapes, spend time outdoors and nerd out about healthy soil. When she’s not reading botanical Latin dictionaries for fun she enjoys drawing, meeting friends for coffee and rollerskating.
Shawna Chandler, Gardener
Shawna hails from Northern Wisconsin where she picked up a love for gardening on her parent’s organic farm. She is a mother of two, educator and crafter who loves to play in the dirt as much as possible.
Hanny Ahern, Gardener
When she isn’t creating immersive installations or teaching, Hanny is humbled by the natural world and the process of building it. A dedicated team player who thrives on collaboration, she brings a world-builder's eye to every landscape she touches. She lives and makes things in Beacon, NY.
Maeve Allen, Gardener
After finishing her degree in journalism from SUNY New Paltz, Maeve set her roots down in Beacon, NY. In her spare time Maeve is a collage artist, an amateaur birder and an aspiring stylist.
Aubrey Haddard, Gardener
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Aubrey is a touring musician and music educator with a deep love for sharing sound and story. When she’s not on the road or in the classroom, you’ll find her tending to an ever-growing jungle of houseplants.
